Sarah’s CBD Kitchen: Trio of Dressings & Sauces

As I write this, I am officially halfway through my Whole30 journey! I’ve already patted myself on the back, so you don’t have to congratulate me, thank you though! One thing I’ve learned during this process, is that you can never have enough salad dressing. Or sauce. Or sauce that doubles as dressing. I don’t think I would make it through this journey without it! Through trial and error, and a LOT of veggies, I bring you three of my favorite dressings.

All three of these dressings will last in the fridge for 1-2 weeks. You will get much closer to the 2 week mark if you have them in a jar that is airtight, like a mason jar. I like to keep them on hand and switch up the dressing for my daily lunch salad – eating salads every day gets old after awhile, so I love to have several options on hand!

For all three of these dressings, I used CBD Isolate. There are about 4 servings in each of these, so you will want to add about 60mg total (for each serving to have 15mg). If you want each serving to have 30mg, you will want to add 120mg total of isolate. The beauty of using isolate for recipes is that there is no flavor to it, and adding isolate won’t change the consistency of what you are making. If you are using a regular flavored MedPac CBD tincture instead of isolate, you will want to replace the oil in your recipe with the tincture so as not to change the makeup of the recipe.

Asian Style Sesame Ginger (CBD) Dressing


1/4 cup coconut aminos

2 tbsp rice vinegar

2 tbsp avocado oil (olive oil works as well)

1 tsp minced garlic

1.4 tsp powdered ginger (or 1tsp fresh grated ginger)

3 Medjool dates (large, pitted, and soaked in very hot water)

60mg Green Garden Gold CBD Isolate (or desired amount)

Start by soaking your dates in very hot water to soften them. This will take about 5 minutes. While the dates are soaking, add all remaining ingredients to a food processor or blender. Quickly blend so the CBD is well mixed. Add the dates and blend entire mixture until the dates are finely ground and you have a creamy dressing. Store in the refrigerator.

*Protip – this particular dressing is AMAZING as a stir fry sauce. Just in case you want to cook your veggies for a change. This would probably be good on chicken or fish as well, though I haven’t tried it yet. Leave us a comment and let us know how it turns out if you do try it!

Tahini CBD Dressing


⅓ cup tahini

2 ½ tsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar, use balsamic or red wine vinegar for a richer flavor)

1 tbsp + 1 tsp coconut aminos

1 tsp sesame oil (or extra coconut aminos)

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tbsp fresh, chopped parsley

2 green onions, sliced thin

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

4 tbsp water (more as needed)

60mg Green Garden Gold CBD Isolate (or desired amount)

Combine tahini, vinegar, coconut aminos, lemon juice, and CBD isolate. You want to mix this extremely well, and it will be thick. You can use an immersion blender or food processor to mix if necessary. Stir in water, until you get the consistency of a dressing. Depending on how thick the tahini itself it, you may need more than 4tbsp of water. Once you reach a dressing consistency, stir in the green onion, parsley, salt, and pepper. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onion.

*Try this on meat, fish, or as a dip! I’ve used it on salads and love the taste of this, I bet it would be great in other applications.

Wasabi Green Garden CBD Dressing (With Cucumber and Avocado)


1 avocado

3 green onions

⅓ cup chopped cucumber

2 tsp wasabi paste (more or less depending on your taste)

2 tbsp avocado oil (or another healthy oil)

2 tsp rice vinegar (or another light vinegar)

½ tsp garlic powder

¼ tsp sea salt

Dash of black pepper

60mg Green Garden Gold CBD Isolate (or desired amount)

Combine everything into a food processor or blender (an immersion blender works fine as well). Whip it up into a creamy dressing. Give it a taste, and adjust wasabi, vinegar, and seasoning as needed. This makes quite a thick dressing, so feel free to thin it down to your liking by slowly adding a bit of water.

* If you’re a garlic freak (like me), try using fresh garlic for more of a bite.
