FAQ: Regarding CBD

FAQ: Regarding CBD

Helping the public understand CBD and its significance is a role Green Garden Gold has taken very seriously over the last six years. Below you will find the ten most commonly asked questions Green Garden Gold receives from current customers and first time visitors.

Q. What is CBD?

A. CBD stands for cannabidiol, and is one of many phytocannabinoids found in cannabis. CBD is a non-psychoactive chemical compound which has a myriad of health benefits, and is used successfully for improving overall wellness. It can be derived from marijuana or hemp. However, at Green Garden Gold, our products all contain CBD derived from hemp, as do most products you will see on the shelves of local shops and online.

Q. Will it get me intoxicated or “high”?

A. No, CBD products that are hemp derived will not get you high. It is not the CBD that makes people get “high”. In Marijuana there is a much higher concentration of a psychoactive compound called THC than there is in hemp. THC is what makes people feel high, and it is the concentrated presence of this compound that determines which CBD products are legal and which are not, according to each state’s laws. As long as the product contains less than 0.3% THC, the product is federally legal.

Hemp Vs Marijuana

Q. Is it legal?

A. As long as the CBD is derived from a hemp plant (meaning a plant with less than 0.3% THC), it is legal. With the passing of the Farm Bill of 2018, hemp derived CBD products became legalized across the country, changing the primary role of oversight of such products from the DEA’s purview to the FDA’s.

Q. Does it come from Marijuana?

A. CBD can come from Marijuana or Hemp. This is why the FDA requires accurate labeling which informs the consumer clearly that the CBD is hemp derived. Our products are strictly derived from Hemp. In order to access CBD from Marijuana, you would need a medical card, or visit a dispensary in a state where laws are amiable to such facilities. Federally, the purchase of CBD products from Hemp is accessible to all adults.

Q. Is it safe to use?

A. CBD is widely regarded as generally safe. The FDA has already approved a medical product called Epidiolex which contains CBD (click to read FDA’s statement regarding this). Sadly, the safety of CBD products vary depending on who you are buying it from. As there are few industry wide regulations that are enforced, it is up to the consumer to protect themselves. For CBD products with the highest possible safety standards, always make sure that your products are third party lab tested to ensure you are getting the amount of CBD the label claims, and make sure they are manufactured in FDA registered facilities, have gone through stability testing, and have been tested for contaminants, heavy metals, microbial, mold and fungi. Within the huge number of CBD companies (over 1500 in start of 2019), only a handful adhere to these safety protocols and make it there standard operating procedure.

With the popularity of CBD spreading like wild fire we are seeing a pool of millions of people that are taking CBD with little to no reported problems arising. However, we suggest spending some time on your favorite search engine and see if you can find any credible reports discussing it’s pros and cons. You can also look at our own collected research archive here. We post all of our third party lab tests on our site for your convenience. Before purchasing CBD anywhere, we encourage you to request their lab results and view them to ensure you are getting a safe, vetted product. You can find our own at the bottom of our product descriptions.

To determine if using CBD is safe for your health needs, we recommend you to check with your Doctor or a licensed medical professional.

Q. Will CBD make me fail a drug test?

A. Drug tests are looking for a varied number of compounds; such as the THC found in Marijuana. Drug tests are not targeting CBD. Our products contain far less than the federally allowed amount of 0.3% THC. We perform drug tests on our products regularly to ensure the levels are still below detectable amounts on drug tests. You can see this youtube video of a person testing one of our products. These trace amounts are not a high enough percentage to trigger positive on a drug test. Still, we always recommend disclosing your use of our product to your employer, or whomever is administering the test. In the 5 years of business, we have never had a customer claim our product made them fail a test.

Q. Will it help with what ails me?

A. There are limits to what a company can claim concerning products that qualify as a drug and/or supplement per FDA regulations & definitions. While we cannot make any medical claims as to the efficacy of our products, we want our products to work for you, and we have great faith in our products. This is what gave birth to our 30 day money back guarantee. If you buy our products (from our online store) for a specific need, we have confidence that our product will meet that need. If it doesn’t work for you within a few weeks, then we want you to tell us so we can fully refund your order. If it doesn’t work or doesn’t meet your expectations, we don’t want your money. Green Garden Gold boasts the highest customer satisfaction on the market, with a return rate lower than .0011 ( it recently has gone down from .0012! ). This rate that means for every 10,000 orders only 11 ask for a refund. That’s a lot of happy customers.

Q. Where can I find other people’s experiences with CBD?

A. We have reviews posted for all of our products, with others’ experiences. Unfortunately, to remain FDA complaint CBD sellers have to remove some reviews that make strong claims that can’t be made. For example: if a person suffering from arthritis takes our CBD Panidiol and in a review says that it “treats” her arthritis. We wouldn’t be able to post that, and other companies shouldn’t do so either if they are following FDA regulations. However, the review could have been shared if she had said, “I have arthritis pain and I tried out this product. I like this product”.

CBD effects people differently, this is fact. If you have witnessed a miracle concerning CBD we are truly happy for you, and we hope you will share that experience with loved ones over your social media or in person. You will only find a tiny fraction of the miracle CBD stories that exist on stores that sell CBD because the industry is trying to be FDA compliant. As a CBD seller ourselves, Green Garden Gold cannot link you directly to non-seller sites that have forums where people are sharing their miracles with each other. You can also find reviews on our blog, as well as Instagram, and Facebook.

Q. How much CBD should I take?

A. This is a tricky question to answer, because each person metabolizes it differently. You may need more or less depending on a myriad of factors including (but not limited to): weight, gender, tolerance, severity of symptoms, and more. We recommend starting with 10-15mg once a day for moderate effect, and 30mg-60mg for stronger effect. You can change up or down from there, depending on how you feel. If you are not finding a sense of relief, take bigger doses or take it more often. If you find yourself becoming lethargic or find yourself with an upset stomach, take less.

Q. Does the method of taking CBD matter?

A. The method in which you consume CBD is based off personal preference and/or the reason you are taking it. Vaping it or taking it sublingually (hold for 30 seconds under the tongue before swallowing) tend to get it into your system faster than say swallowing a capsule. However, some prefer to take a capsule as it has no flavor. Some have joint or skin issues and prefer to use a topical, or use a topical in conjunction with an internal method for a combined effect. Dosage strength is one of the strongest factors and I welcome you to read our blog that can guide your dosage plan. Within reason, there is no “wrong” way to take CBD – it’s really whatever works best or is most comfortable for you!
